A week ago 7 other girls and I hit the road to head up to a friends cabin in Wisconsin for my bachelorette party. This was a weekend I was looking forward to for quite some time, one that I knew would be relaxing and a great weekend with the girls. We packed up early Friday morning and made the 5 hour trip.
The weekend was so much fun. Full of sun, naps, games and of course delicious food!
Friday we spent the day taking naps and watching Father of the Bride. Then we got ready and went to town to have dinner at a cute little local family restaurant. (We definitely stood out). Our waitress let us know that there was a band playing downtown (It happened to be this very small town's Blue Gill Days) so we decided to check that out and of course, once again, everyone and their brother didn't know us so we stood out even more!! About an hour later the band finally started and it turned out to be such a fun night, as we danced to oldies for a couple hours :)
Saturday we spent the day on the boat... which ended up stalling when we were the farthest point away from the lake house. We got rescued after about an hour of a few of the girls pushing the boat with their legs to keep us from the trees!! We made dinner at the cabin that night (love this) and opened gifts (this was quite entertaining for the others) and went into town again for a little while. We spent the rest of the night playing games and drove home Sunday morning.
Such a fun weekend with great girls I am blessed to call my friends... and of course my wonderful mother and hostess Debbie!
