We're moving! YES! We've found not only a house, but a home that we will grow together and start our family in. This home happens to be the home Mark grew up in :) If you are connecting the dots, you are realizing that we are moving to Mark's parents home on Primrose. You are also probably wondering, wait, where are they moving?
Mark's parents decided a couple of months ago that they were going to move to a condo. They wanted something more handicap accessible eventually, and this condo provides just that. After searching for houses for a few months and checking the listings daily, nothing was really coming up that we were interested in. During the middle of our seeking, Mark's parents looked at this place and decided they would put in an offer. A few weeks later they threw out the idea of buying their house, with no pressure added. After weeks of praying and considering what action we should take, we decided that the Iehl home would be a great home to raise a family in. The condo they are buying is actually right down the street from my parents... imagine that :) This means we will be about the same distance from both of our parents, and also pretty close to both of our parents' homes. We are pumped! "That side" of town just feels like "home" to the both of us, and we are excited to have our first home be over there.
I am a daydreamer. I am always imagining "what that'd be like" or "what if this happened." That being said, I have had a lot of time to think about what it will be like to live in our new home. Thus, I began a list in my head of the top reasons why I am so excited to move. Some of these pertain to the house and some more just the location of the house. Below are my top 10 reasons of why I am excited. I could take some time to explain them but I think they will make sense :)
1. We are close to BOTH of our parents.
2. We are a bike ride away from church.
3. We are close/closer to Aldi, Hy-Vee, and Wal-Mart. (Yes!)
4. Our new home has a large area to entertain. (We are so thrilled about this) :)
5. The backyard can hold many-a-kids!
6. We get to move to a neighborhood. (Yes everyone has neighbors and technically a neighborhood, but this feels more neighborhood like than where we are at right now).
7. We are close to Wendy's. (Guilty pleasure!! :) We do not even eat here much, but I like the idea of getting to sneak in a fry here and there;))
8. We have a home that we will be able to grow into and won't have to move in a couple years.
9. We have a bathtub I will actually take a bath in AND we have our own bathroom off our bedroom--I think I will appreciate this much more once we have kids!
10. We have our own place, to ourselves to build a family in :)
We are excited for the move ahead! More to come!
